Take Heart is Go!
In a flurry of activity, Take Heart has attached a series of sponsors which means the project is now officially green-lit.
Take Heart is a global media communications initiative designed to put Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) on the global media and public health agendas.
Part One of the series focuses on Australasia, including a one-hour television special designed to lift the lid on Rheumatic Heart Disease, an entirely preventable disease that threatens the lives of 2% of all Indigenous Australians (Dr Bo Remenyi, Menzies School for Health Research).
Our deep thanks goes out to Presenting Sponsor Aspen Foundation and Supporting Sponsors Snow Foundation, National Heart Foundation of Australia, Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, New Zealand Ministry of Health, Cure Kids, World Heart Federation, NT Cardiac, Layhna Health, RHD Australia, Australasian Maternity Outcomes Surveillance System and Moonshine Movies.
Please sign-up to stay tuned to the project release, which is earmarked for release from April 2015, with the first in a series of 10 short films. Part One of the television series, a one-hour program about The Quest To Rid Australasia of Rheumatic Heart Disease ,is scheduled for release in late 2015.
Hosted screenings, events, photography exhibitions, the release of a smart phone app and activity across the project’s digital platforms are planned over the coming year.
